Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a diverse cast of heroes, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in power within the urban setting.
Warning: Key plot points for the latest installment of the new season lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The latest chapter ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, distinct from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
With 13 cast members, it was clear from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.
What Defines the Combat Party
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might look mismatched, but the events of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
First, the team understands precisely where to head next after a violent first encounter with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
The antagonist then paid off his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- Thimble, as the companion and best friend, desires retribution.
- Kattigan has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous location.
- The warrior and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- But, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the group enter places they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The healer turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This means them few options but to travel to Timmony in search of the traitor.
Future Episodes
Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight players to form the Questers and Planners tables.
Viewers can expect discovering which adventurers will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
